Those who know me know that I am a great lover of trips out of town and weekends. Summer for me is that spectacular moment that brings you back to life, brings back the desire disappeared during the winter, to explore and discover new places.

In Italy we are lucky to have many places, sea / mountain / countryside / lakes and so on, not for nothing is called “The Bel Paese”!

Weekend that I love, a city to discover!

A few weekends ago I was in Tuscany, soon I will also tell you about my many weekends in that area, but for the moment still tabu, and I took an evening trip to the city of Lucca. To be honest I was there several years ago, but I wanted to freshen up the memory with the Renaissance walls surrounding the old town and the cobbled streets leading to the center. I loved Torre Guinigi made of bricks, composed of 230 steps leading to the top of the same, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the mountains and the city! Of course after 230 steps for a little sporty like me could seem like many, but I assure you that it is worth it once you get to the top.

I was able to spend only the evening in Lucca because the following day I had another engagement in that of Viareggio. Oh yes, I have combined business with pleasure, during the day I relaxed enjoying the sun and the sea of Tuscany. I’m always looking for places to visit and tell, the wonders of our country never end. Viareggio, the city of carnival, one of the most famous in the world, that can accommodate you with its long and endless promenade, walking through shops and hotels for moments of leisure and relaxation at the same time.

Beautiful walks also in the dock-port area, where in addition to walking you can sip a glass of fresh wine in the company. For those who love pubs and clubs you just have to move beyond the dock, Viale Europa is waiting for you to dance and have fun until late evening.

City that I discovered late, but that I learned to love immediately! Have you ever been there? How do you think?

These are exactly the weekends I love, escape from the city to enjoy a few hours of relaxation. For those who followed us on Instagram will surely have seen in the stories much more than these photos :-). Stay tuned, on stories updates live!
